Brakur_kitchen_designerIt’s not uncommon for homeowners to wonder what the difference between a kitchen designer and interior designer is.  There is some overlap and some of the things they do are similar.  But YES! There is a difference.

When you think of comparing contractor to a plumber it is a similar relationship.  A contractor will oversee all aspects of the remodeling project, but doesn’t necessarily do all the work himself because he is not an expert.  An interior designer will coordinate and work with kitchen designer, but they are not the expert when it comes to kitchen design.  Interior designers are more concerned with the overall aesthetics, colors, and flow of the home. They help coordinate cabinet colors and door styles, backsplashes, and countertops.

Here at Brakur Custom Cabinetry we have experienced kitchen designers that understand both function and the importance of the overall look of your kitchen.  There is so much more that goes into designing a kitchen than just picking cabinets and countertops.  There are probably a lot of things that our designers can do that your interior designers may not even be aware of.

We are used to working with all types of contractors that involve a kitchen remodel.  You may be surprised that many people forgo the interior designer because our remodeling experts here at Brakur Custom Cabinetry are that good.  They have done hundreds of kitchens and they know not only what will look good but will give you the highest satisfaction in the long run and biggest return on your investment. They understand the importance of layout and it is something they do every day.

Our kitchen designers will meet with both you and your interior designer for your initial free consultation.  They will go over budgets, design elements, and other things that need to be coordinated and decided with the interior designer.  This can start the process of your remodel and get the steps to a successful remodel in motion.

If you are ready to move forward and would like to schedule an appointment with one of our award-winning kitchen designers you can contact us here.
