Brakur Custom Cabinetry is 50 years old! 

Not many businesses, let alone cabinet companies can thrive as a business for 50 years. Brakur is a family owned and operated business that has been building high quality cabinetry since 1965. They have been fortunate to serve Joliet and surrounding Chicagoland area. Their success is a result of loyal customers, committed employees and quality products. They have maintained a competitive edge with their affordability and ability to customize any space. As times have changed so has Brakur. They have continued to provide service and cabinetry that meet the changing lifestyles of families throughout the years. The kitchens they build today are very different than those that were built 50 years ago. They are up to date on the latest technology and are constantly striving to improve and make their products better. Many big box stores and cabinet companies have come and gone over the years, but not many have been as committed or successful as ***Brakur Custom Cabinetry***.  

Brakur had its humble beginnings in a small garage in Joliet. It was founded by Ken Kurtz. Its [history](http://brakur.com/aboutbrakur/companyhistory.cfm) shows that they experienced success early on and relocated so they could better serve the people of Joliet and surrounding Chicagoland area.  Brakur has survived hardships when their business burned to the ground in 1993. Their commitment and dedication to customers continued and they were up and operating 10 days later.

Today Brakur is still family owned and operated by Chad Kurtz, Ken’s son.
