It is the “Super Bowl” for the kitchen and bath industry. New and innovative products were introduced and a new and exciting year for kitchen and bath design was kicked off. This year did not disappoint. We were excited to learn that here at Brakur Custom Cabinetry our vision is in line and in some instances ahead of the game for what changes are coming to kitchen and bathrooms. We wanted to share our top highlights that we took away from the show. # KBIS 2016 Highlights - **New appliances for the kitchen** – While last year it was the built in gourmet coffee station there were several new and exciting appliances. You have seen the under counter refrigerator, but now you can also have the under counter freezer. What a perfect solution for lack of freezer space. We knew they were coming but weren’t here yet. Well this year they are now available. Many of these [cabinet doors and drawers](https://blog.brakur.com/blog/your-guide-to-kitchen-cabinet-doors-and-drawers) are designed to make things more accessible. There is also several pull down shelving options so you can have access to those higher shelves and utilize all of your cabinet space. - **Texture** – Everywhere we looked there was lots of texture in kitchen and bathroom design. We saw 3D tile and decorative faucets and fixtures. A majority of the kitchens and baths were featuring quartz countertops.
