It’s hard to believe that the holidays are upon us. Many of us have our Christmas trees up or Menorahs out. Our living room mantles are decorated with garland and the stockings are hung. There are so many things to do and so many opportunities to decorate. There is a lot of pride when it comes to home ownership. The holidays are a chance to show off that newly remodeled kitchen and your favorite features of your home.
One area of the home that is sometimes overlooked when it comes to decorating is the kitchen. You might be surprised at all the different possibilities in the kitchen. Since the kitchen is the heart of the home why not bring the holiday cheer in there as well. For most of us the kitchen will play an integral role in the different holiday festivities. - Windows - Put a wreath on a kitchen window or hang a ribbon with ornaments hanging down.
- Lighting - Use your chandelier to hang ornaments or add lights and garland to the top of your cabinets. Add some scented candles.
- Tables and Chairs - Use a festive centerpiece or table runner. Consider swapping out the cushions on the chairs for a holiday print.
- Doorways - Adorn with garland and ribbons. Maybe even hang some mistletoe.
- Clear Jars – Display Christmas cookies or fun holiday candy for easy access. Or maybe fill them with cranberries and a candle in the center
- Walls – Above a doorway or on the wall purchase removable stickers with holiday sayings from a craft store that are easily removed.
