It’s no surprise that every time you turn around there is some new material or option for backsplashes.  Having choices can be good, but at the same time also a little overwhelming.  There are a lot of different things to consider when choosing your kitchen backsplash material for your remodel.  

Most designers will suggest choosing your countertop material first and then choosing your backsplash material.  It will naturally eliminate some options and it will be easier to coordinate your backsplash with your countertop. Other things to consider are budget, how long will you be staying in your home, do you want a monochromatic look or do you want some color? It’s also important to prioritize and determine what is most important.  Are you looking for something that is unique or do you want a backsplash that is durable and low maintenance?
