It is the absolute best time of year and family is all around. Here are some kitchen décor ideas for the holidays to help brighten the mood and add to the holiday spirit so that your home can feel festive as well.

**Christmas in the Kitchen**

A smaller holiday tree located in the kitchen can help your kitchen feel bright, warm and welcoming. The lights and the glimmer of the ornaments help the reflective surfaces of your kitchen shine while also providing added lighting. Adding a smaller tree to the kitchen is a no brainer to get into the holiday spirit. People will gather in your kitchen because it emits comfort and cheer.\

**Cabinets Can be Festive**

Many may say that adding holiday decorations to cabinets would appear tacky or make the kitchen feel crowded. However, lining the tops of the cabinets with garland imposes on no additional space while also emitting that living element into your kitchen. You can hang wreaths at the front of the cabinets as well. Wrap some lights around the garland before you hang it up and your kitchen is sure to be a true spectacle.

Around this time of year is when many people start bringing out holiday themed cookie cutters, towels, curtains, rugs and more. You could even bring out holiday dishware to emphasize the season. Take advantage of the smaller things to really help bring out the holidays in your home.
