When it comes to determining how much time it will take to do your Chicagoland kitchen remodel we can’t give you exact times but give you an idea of how long it should take. A lot of it will be determined by how involved your remodel is. If you are using the same existing space it will take a lot less time than if you are moving walls and changing the layout.
There are some things you can do to help your remodel go more smoothly and cut down on the overall time. Below are some typical ranges of time based on what your remodel includes.
Before you get overwhelmed, realize that not all of these things happen in every kitchen remodel. If you have a new construction home many of these steps can be eliminated or will already be done by the time your kitchen is ready for installation.
Many of these things can also happen concurrently. The size of your kitchen, using reputable contractors and having one person who handles all the scheduling will cut down on the time of your remodel. Avoid making unnecessary changes to your project or it can extend the time of your completion. It typically takes 5-7 weeks lead-time from the time of ordering to receiving your cabinets. Once your cabinets have been delivered, your entire kitchen remodel could be completed in as little as four days or take as long as a month depending on complexity.
In an ideal world everything will go according to schedule. Being prepared for the unexpected and being flexible will help you to have a successful kitchen remodel.
