- Texture - Homeowners will be spicing up their kitchens by adding texture to their Chicagoland custom kitchens. Texture can help add depth to a kitchen. Anticipate seeing textured tiles, glass backsplashes, wood beams, beadboard and other materials to add a warm, natural, and homey feeling to kitchens.
- Precious Metals – The love affair with chic finishes and hues is not over. Brass, gold and copper are expected to shine. They add warmth to a space.
- Neutral Colors - Bold colors make way for the soothing, versatile neutrals. Some examples are muted taupe and warmer grays. White will remain a constant favorite. Homeowners will be sticking with kitchen colors that wont go out of style.
- Nature – Society wants to slow down and take a step back to nature in the kitchen. Many are looking for a more calming influence in the kitchen in 2016. Expect stone, rustic wood, concrete and even bamboo and river rock to be incorporated into kitchen designs.
