We have good news and bad news when people come to us asking how much cabinetry costs. The bad news is…we can’t give you an accurate quote before getting to know a lot more about your project and the materials you prefer. The good news is…cabinetry costs can range based on your budget. Brakur produces cabinetry from basically any budget range (within reason).
Since we know the vague answers to your cost questions are unfulfilling, we’ll at least give you some helpful information that may come in handy as you start your project.
Generally speaking – where does price differ?
We often get asked what the most expensive and least expensive styles are. Major differences in price usually relate directly to door style and finishes. While it all depends, the least expensive options will usually be flat panel cabinets, and the more expensive choice would be painted cabinets (due to the labor involved in finishing them), and glazed cabinets.
What else may add to price?
As is common with many other purchases, the more detailed the project becomes, the more it will usually cost. So, in the case of cabinets, your price tag will generally go up when you add decorative accents like corbels, fluting and bead board panels. The same rings true for added accessories like rollout trays, spice racks, trash cans, etc. Design plays a big part in price, too. The more detailed and intricate the design, the higher the price (designs that include glass doors, stacked crown, etc. will usually cost more than basic options).
What are some popular cabinetry areas to splurge
If your budget is a bit flexible and you’re looking for areas to splurge a bit, here are some popular places to do it:
- Painted cabinetry has become extremely quite desired due to its versatility.
- The double trash can (one for trash and one for recycling) is our most popular accessory.
- Rollout shelves are an add-on in basically every kitchen for accessibility.
- Pullout spice racks keep spices hidden away and utilize space.
- Accent lighting over and under the cabinetry is a desired upgrade.
- Crown molding and under cabinet molding are preferred details.
- Soft close drawers and doors are increasing in popularity.
Regardless of what your budget allows in the ways of door style, finish, details and accessories, know that all of our cabinetry is built with solid construction and each box is made of all wood, so you can feel confident knowing you’re getting a quality product, no matter what.
