While the answer is never simple – there are ranges that most remodels fall into that will help you get some idea of where your kitchen remodel could be. 

Many things can be categorized into 3 levels. For example, the car rental industry focuses on “Economy, Full Size, and Luxury.” We’ll use a similar model for kitchen remodels.

These 3 models will help you identify what range your remodel would fall and an approximate cost estimate.

- **The Basic Kitchen Remodel** – The basic remodel typically keeps the same structure of the current kitchen and maybe even some of the cabinets. Moving walls makes it much more expensive. As you can imagine, the basic remodel would consist of the less expensive materials.

             A typical range for a basic kitchen remodel would likely be between $20,000  and $30,000 [assuming               using professionals, NOT a DIY project].

- **The Mid-to-Upper Range Kitchen Remodel** – If you need to increase your space, change walls, move your sink and appliances, or make room for an island you may be looking at a Mid-to-upper type of remodel. This model and range includes the following assumptions:

           The typical price range for Mid-to-upper Range Kitchen Remodels is between  $40,000 and $75,000.

- **The Deluxe Kitchen Remodel** – If you have the money to go all out you may do a Deluxe Kitchen Remodel with all the extras. Some of the ingredients would be:

             The Deluxe Kitchen Remodel may run $100,000 or more.
