If you have been on Pinterest lately or have been looking in the decorating magazines you have probably noticed that color is coming back into the kitchen. Not only are we seeing cabinets with more color, but we are seeing more bold and brighter colors in the kitchen.

A recent Houzz survey on decorating trends, found the younger generation is more likely to go with bolder and brighter colors. While soft and neutral is still the most popular choice they are seeing splashes of color incorporated in backsplashes, wall colors and decorating accents. 

You are probably curious what the most popular colors for kitchen cabinets are. White, beige, and bone are neutral colors that never seem to go out of style. However if you are looking for something with a little bit of color, you might consider grey. Grey is becoming the new black in decorating trends.

Some of the more bold and contemporary colors we are seeing are several shades of blue or the combination of red and black. Green is also finding its way back into the kitchen. It is not uncommon to see two-toned kitchens with multiple cabinet colors in the same room. It adds contrast and gives your kitchen an updated and contemporary look.
