What is a Pot Filler?

A pot filler is a faucet that swings out from the wall that has a long, jointed arm.   It makes it easier and more convenient for homeowners to fill their pots on the stove with water when cooking. It alleviates several trips to the sink or the backbreaking task of carrying a heavy pot of water across the kitchen and hoping you don’t drop it. It is ideal for the person who spends a lot of time cooking in the kitchen and very convenient.

How it Works

The faucet is mounted to the backsplash above the range or stove and is connected to a cold water supply line. It does require additional plumbing. Even though there is additional plumbing involved it is minimal and for many worth the added expense. They come in a variety of styles and finishes just like other kitchen faucets. One drawback is they can be prone to collecting grease and need to be cleaned and maintained.
